This Privacy Policy explains how Stunt Driving Clinic, operated by Cody Inc. Action Design ("SDC", "we", "us" or "our"), handles the personal information you give us through this website and our enrolment and feedback forms.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). By using this website or submitting one of our forms, you agree to the practices described below.
On this page
1. Information we collect
We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to run the clinic, communicate with you and improve our training. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
a. Expression of Interest form
When you register your interest in a clinic, we collect:
- Your full name
- Your email address
- Your union membership (for example MEAA, ACTRA, SAG, BSR or ENZ)
- Your MEAA union level of grading
- The clinic dates that suit you
b. Participation Feedback survey
If you complete a clinic and choose to give feedback, we collect:
- Your name
- Your satisfaction and relevance ratings for the event, theory, practical activities, written material and instructor delivery
- Your written feedback, key takeaways and any suggestions
- Any review or testimonial you choose to provide for us to publish (see section 4)
c. Payment information
Clinic payments are processed by Square through a secure hosted checkout. We do not collect or store your full card or bank details on this website. We may receive a confirmation of payment and basic order details from Square.
d. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider and the embedded services we use (see section 8) may automatically record limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device and the pages you view. This is used for security and to keep the site working, not to personally identify you.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive information beyond the union and industry details noted above, which you provide voluntarily so we can confirm eligibility and grade suitability for the clinic.
2. How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you when you:
- Submit the Expression of Interest form (hosted on Google Forms)
- Submit the Participation Feedback survey (hosted on Google Forms)
- Pay for a clinic through Square
- Contact us by email or through our Instagram account
Our enrolment and feedback forms are hosted on Google Forms, so information you enter into them is submitted to and stored within Google's systems before it reaches us.
3. Why we use your information
We use the personal information we collect to:
- Assess and respond to your expression of interest
- Confirm your eligibility, union status and grading for a clinic
- Contact you about clinic dates, availability, changes and logistics
- Process and confirm your payment
- Understand your feedback and improve the quality of our training
- Publish reviews and testimonials you have agreed we can share (see section 4)
- Keep records and meet our legal and safety obligations
4. Reviews & testimonials
Our feedback survey includes an optional field where you can add a review you are happy for us to publish. If you complete that field, you are consenting to us using that review — which may include your first name and industry role — on our website, social media and advertising to help inform future students.
Providing a review is entirely optional. If you would like a published review or testimonial removed, contact us at the details in section 15 and we will remove it from material we control.
5. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We only disclose it to the parties needed to run the clinic and this website, including:
- Google — our forms (Google Forms) and web fonts are provided by Google
- Square — to process payments
- Meta Platforms (Facebook / Instagram) — where content is embedded from, or you interact with us on, these platforms
- Our website host and any service providers who help us operate the site
- Government, regulatory or law enforcement bodies where we are required or authorised by law
These providers handle your information under their own privacy policies and only for the purposes we engage them for.
6. Overseas disclosure
Some of the providers we use — including Google, Square and Meta — store and process data on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States. By submitting your information through our forms or the services on this site, you acknowledge that it may be handled overseas. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers that maintain appropriate safeguards.
7. Payments
Payments are handled by Square, a third-party payment processor, on their own secure platform. Your card details are entered directly with Square and are not passed through or stored by this website. Square's handling of your information is governed by Square's privacy policy.
8. Cookies & embedded content
This website itself does not run its own advertising or analytics tracking cookies. However, some pages include content embedded from third parties, which may set their own cookies or collect usage data when that content loads. These include:
- Google Forms and Google Fonts
- An embedded Facebook video reel
- Links and QR codes to our Instagram account
- An embedded Google Maps link for the venue location
You can control or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how embedded content displays.
9. How we keep it secure
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Our forms and payments run over secure connections through established providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we act promptly if we become aware of any breach.
10. How long we keep it
We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
11. Access & correction
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you and to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. To make a request, contact us using the details in section 15. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request, and we will respond within a reasonable time.
12. Direct marketing
We may occasionally use your contact details to let you know about upcoming clinics or availability. You can opt out at any time by replying to any message asking to be removed, or by contacting us directly, and we will stop sending you those communications.
13. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first (section 15) so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The current version will always be posted on this page with the "Last updated" date shown at the top.
